Madhya Pradesh High Court Cause List

Erstwhile Central Province of India was renamed to current day Madhya Pradesh state on November 02, 1861 while Indian states were getting systematised. It remained the territory of Judicial Commission that had been administered through Judicial Commissioner who controlled the area from Nagpur and was based as Commissioner's court. It had the distinction of being the highest Court in the territory in that period. By 1921, it turned into Governor's province and had literally been given status of the full-fledged High Court meant to administer Justice in this region. High Court denials continued for one and half decades thereafter due to financial and administrative problems coming in its way for the Central Provinces. By that time, portion of Nizam's state of Hyderabad namely Berar was used for administration. It finally transferred power to Central Province in 1933 for administration purpose.
